Pollution: Physical classes up to Class 9 suspended in schools across Noida, Greater Noida

NOIDA: In response to the deteriorating air quality, the district administration has issued an order on Tuesday, mandating the suspension of in-person classes for students up to class 9 in schools throughout Noida and Greater Noida until November 10.

The decision is in accordance with the Graded Responses Action Plan Stage-IV imposed by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), prompted by the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi-NCR reaching the severe category, surpassing 400+ AQI.

District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma said that, "In view of the above order, all schools in Gautam Buddh Nagar district are instructed to adhere to the GRAP stage-IV directives by discontinuing physical classes from pre-school to class 9 until November 10 and shifting to online instructional methods."
