A police van was involved in a collision with a bin lorry on a busy Scots street this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Blair Street in the Hunter Square area of Edinburgh shortly after 1pm on Friday.
Photographs from the scene show the bin lorry in front of the police van. The back end of the vehicle appears to be hitting the passenger side door of the police car.
A second police van can be seen parked behind, Edinburgh Live reports.
It is not currently known if the lorry belongs to Edinburgh City Council and both vehicles are understood to have only sustained minor damage.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.20pm on Friday, 23 June, 2023, a police vehicle was involved in a road crash with another vehicle in the Hunter Square area of Edinburgh.
“There were no reports of any injuries.”
Edinburgh Council has been contacted for comment.
