Police "under attack" by youths throwing glass bottles in City Cemetery

Police officers have been attacked by youths throwing glass bottles and masonry at City Cemetery.

They were responding to reports of a stolen motorcycle being driven dangerously in the Cemetery grounds.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police have recovered the motorcycle and whilst doing so have come under attack from youths throwing glass bottles and masonry.

"Members of the public walking in the area have been put at significant risk!

"One young person was taken home and enquires are ongoing to identify the driver of the motorcycle.

"Parents, once again we urge you to ensure you know where your kids are and who they are with.

"If you have information please call us on 101, quoting reference 933 11/05/19."
