Police treating death of man in Longsight as non-suspicious

A man who was found dead in Longsight died from natural causes, police have said.

Police were called to Plymouth Grove on Friday (June 11) to reports of a body and sadly found the man, in his 60s, deceased.

A post mortem report was carried out and it is believed the man died from natural causes.

Police are treating the death as non-suspicious and inquiries are ongoing.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Police are treating the death of a man in his 60s in Longsight as non-suspicious.

"Officers attended an address on Plymouth Grove at around 8pm on Friday 11 June, where sadly the man was found deceased.

"Following a Post Mortem, it's believed the man died from natural causes.

"Inquiries are on-going."

Officers were also called to reports of a body on Holker Close at 2pm on Friday

The body of a 58-year-old woman was found and a murder investigation was launched.

It is not clear if the deaths are linked.
