Police swoop on residential street in Edinburgh in 'ongoing incident'

Police have swooped on a property in a residential street in Edinburgh .

Officers are currently in attendance at an address in Muirhouse Grove in Edinburgh.

An ambulance is also at the scene.

The alarm was raised at around 11.20am on Thursday.

Police confirmed that two men and six woman have been arrested as a result of the 'disturbance' at the property.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that two men, aged 23 and 16, have been arrested and charged and are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court tomorrow in connection with a disturbance at an address on Muirhouse Grove in Edinburgh.

“A further four women, aged 50, 24, 43 and 23, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and will appear in court at a later date.

"The incident was reported shortly after 11.20am on Thursday, December 12.”
