Police spark hunt after teenager threatened and robbed by two thugs

Police in Ayrshire are appealing for information following a robbery in Kilmarnock.

The incident happened around 9.30pm on Friday, January 22 on a cycle path between Knockentiber and Kilmarnock.

A 16-year-old boy was threatened by two men who stole his yellow Carrera mountain bike with black wheels.

Detective Constable Neville Wright-Turner of Ayrshire CID said: "Thankfully there has been no injuries as a result of this robbery but the young man has been left evidently shaken.

"I would ask if anyone has any information surrounding this incident that they get in contact with officers.

"Police can be contacted by calling 101 and quoting incident number 3676 of Friday, January 22, 2021."
