Police seal off Glasgow street after man found with horror head injuries

Police sealed off a street in Glasgow after a man was found with horror head injuries this evening.

Officers raced to the scene following reports of a disturbance near the bingo hall on Hawthorn Street in Possilpark at around 4.50pm.

On arrive cops found a man with a head injury and he has since been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by ambulance.

The condition of the man is not yet known.

Police have launched a probe into the incident and their enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.50 pm on Wednesday, 14 April, 2021, police received a report of a disturbance in Hawthorn Street, Glasgow.

“On arrival they found a man with a head injury. He has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by ambulance.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.”
