Police Scotland to hold LGBTI recruitment event in Edinburgh

Edinburgh Live previously reported that Police Scotland were on the hunt for woman in Edinburgh who are interested in joining the force.

Police Scotland will be holding another "Discover your journey event" which will be aimed attracting people from the LGBTI community to join the police.

The event will take place at Fettes Police Station,Edinburgh, between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Saturday 28 March.

The recruitment drive will feature police officers from the LGBTI community talking about their story.

Police Scotland say: "Police Scotland is running one day events aimed at encouraging you to discover your journey towards considering a career in policing.

The courses are designed to provide an insight into the role of a police officer/ special constable.

"Members of the LGBTI community are currently underrepresented in the police and it is hoped that the event will inspire you to consider a a career in policing."
