South Australia Police say they have found what they believe to be the missing head of alleged Port Lincoln murder victim Julian Story who was allegedly killed by Beauty and the Geek star Tamika Chesser.
Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke shared the update at a press conference on Thursday at 1pm, as reported by the Advertiser.
“Earlier today police received information from a member of the public in Port Lincoln they have located in a scrub are what appeared to be a human skull,” he said.
“Preliminary investigations and phone calls to forensic science centre the remains are most likely human and I believe they are the remains of Julian Story.
“To confirm this, those remains will be subject to further testing over the coming days. Those remains currently remain in Port Lincoln.
“Julian’s family have been contacted today and provided an update in relation to what has been located and what the ongoing process is from here.

Fielke went on to say that the area where the skull was found was not in “view of the public or nearby to any walking paths”.
“There are some walking tracks through there, my understanding is the person who contacted us today was walking their dog in the area. The dog ran off into the scrub, it didn’t come back when called.
“They had to walk into the scrub area to find it [the head]. [The remains] were not buried. They were quite out in the open.”
Police allege Tamika Chesser – who appeared on Beauty and the Geek in 2010 – murdered Story at the couple’s unit at around midnight on June 17, 2025, before removing his head. Chesser was then captured on CCTV in the hours after with a bag in hand, walking her dogs and dressed in heavy clothing, it is also alleged.

The discovery occurred on the same day that Chesser fronted court via AVL from James Nash House, a psychiatric facility.
As reported by The Australian, Chesser appeared before the court on three separate matters, including behaving in a disorderly manner at a tobacco store on Port Lincoln’s Liverpool St and at the Port Lincoln Police, both on February 14, 2025.
Police also told the court they will allege she assaulted a woman on November 1 last year and additionally assaulted a police officer on June 20 this year, one day after she was arrested for the alleged killing of Story.
The matters have been adjourned until a charge has been determined for Chesser’s more serious allegations.
The next hearing will be on December 18.
