The body of a man has been pulled from the River Tyne.
Emergency services were called to Newcastle Quayside , near to the Millennium Bridge , at around 8.20pm on Monday after a body in the water was reported.
The body of a man was found by the emergency services and he was recovered from the river.

Police are now working to identify the man and inform his next of kin.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "We have been on the River Tyne this evening after reports of a body in the water.
"At about 8.20pm this evening we had a report of a body in the river near to the Millennium Bridge.
"Emergency services attended the scene and the body of a man was recovered from the water.
"Inquiries to identify the man and trace his next of kin are currently ongoing."
