Police have arrested seven men after a raid linked to an alleged ‘castrations cult’ in north London.

Detectives seized laptops and other evidence from a house in Finsbury Park during searches between December 7 and 10.

The investigation is linked to the “Nullo” cult where men have intimate body parts removed on film.

The followers of the cult believe in genital nullification and the films are swapped on online forums on the dark web.

The group is believed to be inspired by asexual Japanese artist Mao Sugiyama who had his penis and testicles surgically removed nine years ago, aged 23. His nickname given by followers is “the eunuch maker”.

One of the men has been arrested on suspicion of GBH while six others, including a pensioner, have also been questioned in connection with the raid.

A Met police spokesman said: “Between Tuesday 7 and Friday 10 December 2021, officers from the Met’s Central Specialist Crime command conducted a search warrant at a residential address in the Finsbury Park area in connection with an investigation into an allegation of grievous bodily harm.

A man, aged 40s, was arrested in relation to this investigation and is currently on bail. Six other suspects were also arrested and released on bail in connection with this matter.

“The MPS will not comment on the background to the incident or the method of GBH.

The website connected to the male arrested was taken down in March 2021.

The other suspects are all males, in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s.”
