Police race to Fife street as man arrested after car crash and serious assault

Cops raced to a Fife street on Tuesday after reports of a car crash and a serious assault.

Police were on the scene at Annandale Gardens in the Macedonia area of Glenrothes at 4.15pm.

The force say they were alerted to reports of a car crash and a serious assault on a 44-year-old man.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.15pm on Tuesday, 8 September, officers were called to the Annandale Gardens area of Glenrothes following reports of a car crash and the serious assault of a 44-year-old man.

"The victim has been taken to hospital for treatment.

"A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"He is expected to appear in court tomorrow."
