Police probe Prestwick incident after man found injured close to Main Street

Police are tonight probing an incident in Prestwick after a man was found injured just off the town's Main Street.

A cordon is in place with officers on the scene at the lane which leads past the main office of Streamline Taxis' headquarters.

It follows a man being found injured at around 4.30pm.

Police confirmed that he was taken to hospital for treatment and they remain on scene carrying out investigations.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are currently in attendance at Main Street, Prestwick after a man was found injured at around 4.30pm on Thursday, May 12.

"He was taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing."
