Police launch urgent appeal to trace missing 65-year-old Trimdon woman Galina Best

Police have launched an urgent appeal to help find a missing 65-year-old woman from County Durham.

Galina Best, from Trimdon Station, was last seen walking in fields in the Trimdon area at around 4pm on Monday. She was reported missing on Monday afternoon and officers said they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for her welfare.

She is 5ft 1ins with dark brown hair. She was last seen wearing the same clothes that are pictured here – a blue fleece and corduroy trousers.

Officers are now appealing to the public to get in touch with them if they have seen Galina. Along with an appeal, Durham Constabulary also shared a photo of Galina on its social media pages.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Can you help us find Galina Best? We are becoming increasingly concerned for the 65-year-old’s welfare after she was reported missing this afternoon.

"Galina, from Trimdon Station, was last seen walking in fields in the Trimdon area at around 4pm today. She is 5ft 1inches tall, with dark brown hair. She was last seen wearing the same clothes that are pictured here – a blue fleece and corduroy trousers.

"If you have seen Galina, please call us on 999 quoting incident number 277 of May 30."
