Police launch search for missing Scots teenager who vanished in Motherwell

Police have launched a search for a missing teenager who vanished in North Lanakrshire.

Kayleigh Mills, 15, was last seen in the Motherwell area at about 8.15pm on Monday October 12.

The youngster is known to visit friends in Coatbridge, Cumbernauld, Gelnmavis, Hamilton and Motherwell.

Now cops are now appealing for help in finding the 15-year-old.

Kayleigh is described as 5ft 4ins tall, of average build with dark brown hair and blue eyes.

She was wearing a white jumper, blue jeans and carrying a black Nike rucksack which may have a change of clothing within when last seen.

A Police Scotland statement read: "Police are asking the public for any information they may have in relation to an ongoing Missing Person enquiry.

"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 2662 of 12th October 2020."
