Police launch major search for woman who disappeared during Bristol night out

Police have launched a major appeal to find a woman who vanished during a night out.

Detectives say they are concerned for the welfare of Emma Murphy, 27, who vanished from the Bristol city centre and has not made contact with relatives for almost two days.

Emma was last seen in the early hours of Sunday at Lloyds Bar, Waterfront.

Emma, who is originally from Bristol, came to the city for the weekend to visit relatives, but has not been in touch since they became separated during a night out, reports Bristol Live .

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police say her disappearance is 'out of character'.

She is described as white, about 5ft 7ins tall and slim, with shoulder-length brown hair.

A force spokesperson said: "When last seen she was wearing a black dress and white sandals and carrying a black bag.

"If you know where Emma is, or have any information which could help us trace her, please get in touch quoting reference 5219154138."
