They are reported to have happened on Saturday October, 3 and Sunday, October 4 in West Belfast and Finaghy.

A potential link between the incidents is being investigated.

PSNI Detective Sergeant Nugent said: “Sometime between 6pm and just before 8pm on Saturday, it was reported that entry was gained to a house in the Stewartstown Avenue area of West Belfast.

"Damage was caused to the front door and a quantity of jewellery was taken during the incident and no one was inside the property.

"Between 6.10pm and 9pm on Saturday, it was reported that entry was gained to a house in the Hillhead Crescent area of West Belfast. It is believed that a sum of money, a ring and a drill were taken during the incident, with damage to a rear window of the property also reported to police.

"Just after 9.20pm on Saturday October 3, it was reported that a car was parked at the Porter Park area of Finaghy. It was reported that three men exited the car and gained entry to a house in the area.

"It is believed that a sum of money was taken and a number of rooms were ransacked during the incident. Shortly before 00.50am on Sunday, it was reported to police that entry was gained to a flat at the Stewartstown Road area of West Belfast.

"Damage was caused to the front door of the property, with a number of items included watches and clothing were taken during the incident.
