Reports on social media stated that a naked man had been hiding in bushes.

It follows a report of a man 'exposing himself' in Westhoughton Central Park.

Greater Manchester Police's Westhoughton neighbourhood team believe the incidents may be linked and are working to identify a culprit.

A spokesman wrote on the GMP Bolton West Facebook page: "Officers have been looking into a report of a suspicious male in the church grounds off Church Street in Westhoughton this morning.

"Today's incident may be linked to a recent report of a male exposing himself in Westhoughton Central Park.

"Please be assured enquiries are ongoing in an attempt to identify the male.

Anybody with any information should contact the Westhoughton Neighbourhood Team on boltonwest@gmp.police.uk or 0161 8565761.
