Missing Wigan man 'has been found safe'

Police say a missing man from Wigan has been found safe.

Officers put out a public appeal in the search for Michael York who was last seen in Tyldesley at around 2am on Sunday.

But, police have now updated their appeal to confirm that the 44-year-old has been found.

In a post on Facebook, a GMP spokesperson said: "Thank you for sharing our appeal to find Michael from Wigan

"Officers have now confirmed he has been found safe."
