Police in Lanarkshire launch frantic search for missing school girl

Police have launched a frantic search to find a missing schoolgirl.

Thirteen-year-old Lara Tomescu has been reported missing from Strathaven.

She was last seen around 10am in the Loudon Street area of the town on Thursday this week (January 12).

Cops are now “appealing for the public’s help” as part of their efforts to trace Lara Tomescu,

Lara is described as 5ft 1in tall, with blonde hair and was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, black leggings and Dr. Marten boots.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101.

Information can also be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Missing People operate a free helpline seven-days-a-week from 9am – 11pm for anyone who is thinking of going missing, is currently missing, or has friends or family who are missing.
