Police hunting man with 'crime pays' tattooed across his forehead

This wanted man may wish to grow a fringe ( Police handout )

A man wanted in connection with a high-speed pursuit may find it hard to remain inconspicuous - thanks to a 'crime pays' tattoo across his forehead.

Donald Murray, 38, allegedly led police on a chase on Friday night in Terre Haute, Indiana, after he was spotted driving without and lights on his car.

His vehicle eventually hit a tree and he fled on foot. A passenger in the car told police that he didn't know the driver's name.

An existing mugshot of Murray shows that he has multiple face and neck tattoos, including an inking of the phrase 'crime pays' in bold capital letters across his forehead.

His body art choice was roundly mocked on social media, with Only my hometown would be looking for a guy with a 'crime pays' tattoo smack dab in the middle of his forehead."

Another said: "A guy with a 'crime pays' tattoo on his forehead just confirms to me that the nuclear testing of the 20th century has contaminated mankind’s DNA for generations to come."

If caught, he faces felony charges of criminal recklessness and resisting law enforcement, according to local news channel WTWO.

Anyone who sees him is urged to contact local police.
