A body has been found in the search for missing Oban woman May Petrie.
The 56-year-old was reported missing yesterday after she left her house in Kilninver, south of Oban, at around 8am.
Officers searching for May discovered a body at around 10.40am today.
Although formal identification has yet to be made, May's family have been informed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: " At around 10.40am this morning,,the body of a woman was discovered by officers searching for 56-year-old May Petrie who has been missing since yesterday.
"The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed, however, Mrs Petrie's family have been made aware.
"Enquiries are continuing."
