Police continue to hunt gang who attacked man in Livingston

A man was hospitalised with a serious head wound after being set upon by a gang in Livingston.

The 20-year-old was attacked by three or four other men as he was walking near to shops in Nigel Rise, Dedridge at around 10pm on Thursday, September 24.

He was taken to St John’s Hospital where he was treated for a serious head injury and later released.

Police have launched a probe into the incident are appealing for anyone who saw it to get in touch.

Detective Constable Sam Plastow, from Livingston CID, said: “Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with private footage, which may assist our investigation to trace those involved.

“Anyone with any information should contact 101, quoting incident number 0186 of 24 September.

"Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
