Police are appealing to the public in a bid to find a missing woman from Downend.

The 72-year-old was last seen just before 11am near Sainsbury's in Downend today (September 5).

An Avon and Somerset police spokeswoman said: "Anita Milne is about 5ft 4ins tall and slim, with white hair described as "messy".

"When last seen she was wearing bicycle leggings, a black t-shirt and a grey zip fleece, with a tan handbag across her body.

"She was carrying a blue walking stick and two Co-op carrier bags."

She added: "Anita Milne got onto the 10.54am 19A bus near Sainsbury's in Downend today, September 5.

"The bus goes through Kingswood and Keynsham to Bath."

Police are concerned for her welfare and she may appear confused.

Police are telling anyone that knows where Anita is now to ring 999.

If you have any other information which could help to find her, call 101, quoting reference 5219204756.
