A police community support officer had a sexual relationship with a member of the public over a two year period.
The PCSO , who worked for Cheshire Police, retired from the force during the course of an internal investigation into the matter. He was formally dismissed during a disciplinary hearing last month.
Cheshire Police have now said that PCSO met the woman he had the relationship with during the "course of his duties".
