Police called to Scottish pub after 'sudden' death of customer

POLICE raced to a Scottish pub following the "sudden death" of a man on Wednesday evening.

Officers were called to the Wee Man's bar in the East End of Glasgow on Wednesday, January 8.

Shortly after 6pm, the force revealed they were made aware of the sudden death of a 68-year-old man within the pub.

In images shared with The National's sister paper The Glasgow Times, several police cars were pictured parked outside the watering hole.

Officers have since said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death.

(Image: Newsquest) A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were made aware of the sudden death of a 68-year-old man within licensed premises on Gallowgate in Glasgow shortly after 6pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

"There are no suspicious circumstances."
