Police called after 'non-human remains' discovered in Rochdale

Police were called after 'non-human remains' were discovered on a road in Rochdale.

Officers were alerted to the discovery on Roch Valley Way at around 3pm on Saturday (September 26).

The M.E.N understands the remains were found by a dog walker.

A forensic analysis has since taken place and the remains have now been confirmed as 'non-human', police said.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "At around 3pm on Saturday 26 September 2020, police were called to reports that remains had been discovered on Roch Valley Way, Rochdale.

"Forensic analysis has taken place and the remains have been confirmed non-human."
