Police have set up a cordon on Alan Turing Way following reports of a 'potentially serious collision'.
Pictures from the scene show a cordon has been set up at the junction of Ashton Old Road and Pottery Lane.
Emergency services, including officers from the Serious Collision Unit, have been at the scene since 9.45pm this evening (October 25).

It is believed to have involved a Mercedes G Wagon.
Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
It is not known if there are any serious injuries.
A number of diversions are in place, with motorists advised to use Pottery Lane northbound to turn left towards the city centre.

Earlier, Transport for Greater Manchester tweeted: “UPDATE: A635 Ashton Old Road / A6010 Pottery Lane.

“A police cordon has now closed most of the junction.
“Traffic can still use Pottery Lane NB to turn left onto AOR towards the City.
“However, please avoid the area, delays on surrounding roads expected #TfGMTraffic.”
MancTraffic also tweeted: “A635 Ashton Old Rd at Alan Turing Way, Beswick crash.
"UPDATE: Now CLOSED within the junction with traffic being diverted left on all approaches. Emergency services on scene. Potentially serious collision."
