Police arrest dacoity gang in Andhra Pradesh's Araku

ARAKU: Araku Valley police arrested a dacoity gang and seized a Bolero Jeep, three mobile phones, half tola gold chain and Rs 5,000 in cash from their possession.

Cops are now searching for the another 10 accused from Odisha.

The arrested were identified as Bhagirathi Khosala alias Rangila (41) Similiguda village, Parasuram Khara (37) Chatuva Panchayat in Koraput district of Odisha, Nandula Gangulu (50) of Sunkarametta Panchayat in Araku Valley, Gemmela Ranganna (59) of Hitaguda village in Anantagiri mandal of Alluri district and Korra Appa Rao (40) of Boyaguda village in Sunkarametta Panchayat.

Paderu ASP Dheeraj told media persons on Saturday that unknown persons entered the house of the complainant Pangi Surendra of Sunkarameta village on June 10 at midnight and beat the Surendra and looted 1.2 lakh in cash and two tolas of gold.

The Araku Circle Inspector Ch Rudra Sekhar and sub-inspector K Santosh Kumar as per the reliable information arrested all five accused in the dacoity case at Rajdhani Junction in Araku. They try to escape from the spot, but cops nabbed them.
