Police have launched an appeal to find a man thought to be in south Bristol.
But since posting information and an image of him on Facebook members of the public have said he looks like Ian Beale.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "Have you seen wanted man David Whelan?
"The 44-year-old is wanted in connection with burglary offences.
"Whelan is from the Stockwood area of South Bristol and is believed to be in the area.
"Anyone who sees him is asked to phone 101 quoting reference 5219178100."
