Police are appealing for the public's help to find missing Paisley woman

Update: Karisee has now been found safe and well

Police Scotland have issued an urgent appeal to help trace a vulnerable woman who has gone missing.

Karisse Lavelle was last seen on Friday 6 August at 8pm, in the George Street area of Paisley.

Karisse is 18-years-old and has been described as 5ft 4in, medium build, with brown eyes and long brown hair to her hips.

She has multiple scars on her hands, arms and legs, and has swollen ear lobes.

When she was last seen she was wearing grey shorts, a white t-shirt, a black waistcoat and a pair of grey trainers.

Sergeant Jackie Melvin said: “Karisse is a vulnerable young woman and we have increasing concerns for her wellbeing".

“Anyone who has seen Karisse or knows where she might be is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3383 of 6th August."
