Police, searching for a missing South Tyneside man, have confirmed that he has been found safe and well.
Maurice Rasbid, 82, was reported missing by his family at about 6.30pm on Thursday.
The pensioner was last seen leaving an address in the Westfield area of Jarrow at 4pm on Wednesday and had not returned home prompting concerns.

His family and friends had not heard from him since.
Police had been growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and appealed for the public to come forward with information.
Northumbria Police thanked those who shared the appeal and confirmed that Mr Rasbid had been found.
