Police appeal after masked thugs assault and rob man in his home

Police are appealing for information after four masked men forced their way into a flat and assaulted and robbed its 62-year-old occupant.

The incident happened between 9pm and 10pm on Saturday, February 22, at a flat in Forth Drive, Craigshill.

A 62-year-old man was assaulted, causing a minor facial injury, and some items of property were stolen.

The men, who were wearing dark clothing, with their faces covered with balaclava type hats, may have got into a silver hatchback car and made off.

Detective Constable Kenny Alexander, of West Lothian CID, said: “This was a callous, unprovoked attack which has left the man involved injured and badly shaken.

“I would ask anyone who was in the Forth Drive area of Craigshill and saw anything suspicious around the time of this incident to get in touch.

“Likewise, anyone who has information that may help in our investigation should call

West Lothian CID on 101, quoting incident number 4536 of Saturday, 22 February, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
