Police appeal after car crashes into garden wall in Wigan

Police are investigating after a car crashed into a garden wall in Wigan

The incident happened on Twist Avenue in Golborne at around 11.40pm on Monday (February 8). 

The driver of a black Renault Clio crashed into a fence outside a home before fleeing the scene. 

Officers are asking anyone with any information to contact police. 

A spokesman for GMP said: “At around 11.40pm on Monday 8 February 2021 officers were called to Twist Avenue, Golborne to a report that a black Renault Clio had collided with a wall.  

“The driver subsequently fled the scene.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 0161 856 7225 quoting incident number 3044 of 08/02/21. Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
