PSNI are appealing for witnesses following an attack at a home in Poleglass today.
Windows of the house in Colinbrook Close were smashed, leaving the home owner, 57-year-old Joseph McCann, badly shaken.
Sean McCann told Belfast Live that his father is only recently out of hospital.
He said: "He doesn't leave the house, apart from attending the hospital. He suffers from brain damage.
"Me and my brother were out. We look after him as his full-time carers. We got a phone call saying that there was windows smashed. We rushed over and that's what we saw.
"My daddy has to leave this house. He thought that he was getting shot at and back in The Troubles. He thought it was a machine gun coming in the window. He wants to leave this earth."

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are investigating after windows were smashed at a house in Poleglass.
"The front windows of the property in Colinbrook Close were broken shortly before 1.30pm this afternoon, Saturday 13 April.

"Anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the damage being caused is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 631 13/04/19."
