PM Narendra Modi working for India’s ethos, says UP CM Yogi Adityanath

LUCKNOW: Even as the Gyanvapi-KVT complex row undergoes a legal scrutiny, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday harked back to the November 2019 Supreme Court verdict in favour of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, saying that people cutting across community lines had then welcomed the apex court order.

Addressing an event organised by Vidya Bharati, the educational arm of the RSS, at Saraswati Kunj in Lucknow to celebrate ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ by honouring the valour of Indian martyrs and jawans, the chief minister said that the SC verdict in favour of Ram Temple at the birthplace of Lord Ram in Ayodhya depicted the communal harmony as well as “the truth in the devotees’ claim”.

Adityanath termed PM Narendra Modi as “one leader” who has risen above politics of appeasement and divisive agenda to work for “Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat”.

PM working for India's ethos: Yogi

PM Modi ensured that Article 370 (giving autonomy to J&K) was abolished. He is working tirelessly for the conservation of India's cultural ethos," Yogi said, underlining that when India became independent in 1947, it did not have the desired growth because of the politics of appeasement.

He recounted how in the last eight years of Modi's governance, three crore poor people have got houses, 10 crore got toilets, 8 crore got LPG connections and 4 crore got electricity connections.

"All these facilities remained elusive for seven decades," CM Yogi remarked.

Yogi said that the government not only developed vaccines for Covid-19 within nine months of the outbreak of the pandemic, but also provided free test, treatment and vaccination, in addition to providing free ration to 80 crore people for two years.
