PALAKKAD: Palakkad MP VK Sreekandan has urged CM Pinarayi Vijayan to intervene in starting the 2nd class magistrate court in Attapadi which was sanctioned by the high court 11 years ago.
In a letter to Vijayan, the MP said the delay in starting the court is depriving tribespeople and backward class of justice. The staff were appointed, the building was located, and even land was provided for constructing a new court complex. Yet the court has not started functioning, he said.
For the last six years, the Attapadi court is first on the HC's priority list, he said.
