Pleats Please's latest finds inspiration in the Sun

A contrast between sunrise and sunset defines two concepts for Pleats Please Issey Miyake's autumn-winter 2021 collection.

Characterised by its hand-drawn puzzle-like patterns, the Atlas series come in two colour combinations, with turquoise green and orange inspired by energising sunlight and purple with light pink evoking the sunset.

The beauty of the setting Sun and its changing hues are further celebrated in the Sunset series, fashioned in single colours or combinations of two, divided by a curve.

The pairing such as the green with the orange emphasises the theme "Crossing" and how colours intersect in everyday life. The line-up include tops, pants, dresses and a drawstring knapsack with the Atlas pattern.

Along with the Atlas and Sunset series, the August Monthly Colours pieces express the sunrise and sunset through a palette of light pink, purple pink, deep orange, burgundy and black.
