And after the Bundesliga's return from suspension following the coronavirus pandemic, the Gunners fans are getting excited about a potential move.
The 21-year-old Moroccan international has impressed during a two-year loan with Borussia Dortmund and has already scored seven goals and provided ten assists so far this season.
The Bundesliga returned to action after a two-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Hakimi was on top form as Dortmund thrashed rivals Schalke 4-0.
Arsenal and Chelsea are among a number of clubs to have been linked with a move for the full-back and his performance against Schalke certainly got the Gunners supporters talking.
Hakimi has previously refused to rule out a move away from the Bernabeu.
And even admitted that he enjoyed transfer speculation.
He told Cadena SER: ‘Who does not like it [being linked with big clubs]? I am proud of what I am doing.
"In June I will have to make a decision and it will be a great step for my career. In theory, my contract ends in June and from there I have to return to Madrid.
"I have not yet had contact with Madrid on this matter, but I imagine that soon we will have some conversation to find out what is best for me."
