Plans submitted to convert post office in Redhill into fast food restaurant

Two separate planning applications have been submitted for proposed food outlets in Nottinghamshire.

The first will see a building in Redhill converted to a 'fast-food outlet' as well as creating two additional residential units.

The location is in Redhill Road where there is currently a One Stop convenience store.

To the north of the site is a post office on the ground floor which will be converted into a food-outlet, while the north portion of the site, which is currently the retail side, would remain the same.

On the first floor above the current post office, there would be two residential units.

Plans were submitted to Gedling Borough Council on July 9 and the developers are awaiting a decision.

Less than a mile away, the second application is for a building in Arnold to be changed from its current use as a letting agents.

The proposals are to change the use of the Haart estate agent building in Croft Road, Arnold from A2 (financial and professional services) to a flexible use.

This would include A1 (shops), A2 (financial and professional services), A3 (restaurants and cafes) and A5 (hot food takeaways).

The application was submitted to Gedling Borough Council on June 12, and validated on July 16 as is currently waiting for a decision.
