The first Ivy Asia site in Wales is set to open in the capital.
Planning permission has been granted for The Ivy Cardiff to open the new Asian-inspired restaurant after the brand submitted plans to Cardiff Council back in September.
The new restaurant is set to open right in the heart of the city on The Hayes, next door to the current Ivy Cardiff spot.

The Ivy Asia is a group of restaurants from Caprice Holdings, which is the parent company of all the Ivy restaurants in the UK.
Ivy Asia sites are already located across the UK, including in London and Manchester, which was chosen as the first place in the UK for an Ivy Asia site.
The Ivy group said they are unable to provide any further detail at this stage.
The Ivy Asia describes their menu as featuring "a unique blend of flavours and ingredients, taking inspiration from a number of Asian cuisines."
The menu of their London restaurants includes "a selection of small dishes" such as soft shell crab and tiger prawns, as well as a sushi and sashimi section and large plates.
The restaurant would take over numbers 45 and 47 on The Hayes, the former sites of Cath Kidston and Seasalt Cornwall respectively. The new Ivy Asia site will be located adjacent to the Ivy on The Hayes.
A planning application for outdoor seating areas at the site is currently being considered.
Permission has been granted to change the use of the premises from retail to a restaurant, and for new shop fronts and an internal mezzanine to be installed. In accordance with planning permission, members of the public will only be allowed on the premises between 8am and 1am.
The Ivy Cardiff first opened in November 2019 and has proved popular with locals and celebrities alike, including John Barrowman and the cast of Netflix's Sex Education.
