A pizza takeaway sold for £50,000 when it went under the hammer at auction this month.
The ground floor commercial premises on Utting Avenue in Walton was snapped up by a bidder for its £50,000 guide price after being a takeaway for 17 years. The Sutton Kersh auction saw £8.2m worth of property sold, from residential premises to commercial lots, investment and development opportunities.
One property which sold for £28,500 over its guide price was a two bedroom mid terraced house in Old Swan. The house was in need of a full refurbishment but after being listed for £70,000 it sold for £98,500.

A bidding war also broke out for a three bedroom middle town house on Townsend Avenue in Norris Green which received a high number of registered bidders. The house ended up selling for £46,000 over its £85,000 guide price.
Another three bedroom mid terraced property that attracted a lot of interest at the auction was based on Bagot Street in L15. The house had a guide price of £65,000 and went on to sell for £125,000.

Meanwhile in Tuebrook, a one bedroom flat had a guide price of £15,000 and went on to sell for £25,000. Sutton Kersh managed to sell 35% of their lots before auction day, which equated to just over £3.9m.
Cathy Holt Associate Director of Sutton Kersh Auctions said: "Buyers are still keen to invest in the right properties or land and there was a high demand for vacant residential properties in this auction, with many of them selling for a considerable amount over guide price."
Sutton Kersh's next auction will take place on July 14.
