As every good Glaswegian will know, May 11 is celebrated across the city - and perhaps in a monastery in Devon - as World Buckfast Day.
This Saturday will be dedicated to the famous tonic wine, long associated with the fair city of Glasgow.
To celebrate the occasion, Pizza Punks who specialise in sourdough bases, have put their thinking caps on and created the ultimate Buckfast Tonic Wine flavoured pizza. The 12 inch delicacy will be topped with a large helping of beef brisket, infused with Bucky to give it a rich and sweet flavour.

The pizza will also include San Marzano tomato, basil and sauce, along with haggis and tender stem broccoli to complete to the meal.
At its Glasgow home, Pizza Punk will even add to the creation with potato scone and pulled pork infused with Irn Bru.
Pizza Punk’s relationship with Buckfast, though, started even before this pizza, with their By Monks for Punks cocktail. The rum based drink blends with pineapple and lime juices along with buckfast for quite a unique taste.
The celebratory pizza will be available from Pizza Punks on St Vincent Street for in-store, delivery or collection at the price of £10.
