DETROIT _ Blake Griffin needed a little help in his second game as a member of the Detroit Pistons.
Ish Smith and Stanley Johnson delivered.
And don't forget about Andre Drummond.
Drummond was dominant with 23 points, 20 rebounds, four blocked shots and four steals in leading the Pistons to a 111-107 victory on Saturday night at Little Caesars Arena.
Griffin struggled offensively (6 for 19 shooting), but still contributed 16 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
And his 3-pointer with 43 seconds left gave the Pistons a 108-101 lead.
After Goran Dragic's four-point play cut the lead to 108-105, Griffin penetrated the lane and found Smith in the corner for the clinching 3-pointer.
Smith had his third straight strong game with 25 points and seven assists as the Pistons (25-26) are now 3-0 on this crucial six-game home stand.
Johnson finished with 13 points and seven rebounds and he scored five straight points to give the Pistons a 101-99 lead with 3:20 remaining.
Dragic led the Heat (29-24) with 33 points, 24 in the second half. The Heat were without center Hassan Whiteside (illness).
