Pippa O'Connor opens up on C-section recovery and says 'don't be fooled by the make-up'

Pippa O'Connor has opened up on her recovery after having a C-section.

Pippa gave birth to baby boy Billy in the National Maternity Hospital two weeks ago.

Sharing with her Instagram followers how she is feeling after her C-section, the mum-of-three said:

"I'm feeling as well as can be I think this soon after a section.

"It definitely has helped that I've been threw it before. I don't think it was as much as a shock to the system this time.

Pippa has two other boys, Ollie and Louis, and she revealed that her first birth was a "shock to the system".

"I think the first time when I had one with Ollie I was completely mentally floored after it because it's such a big operation and you do have to take it easy afterwards"

"But I'm feeling as well as can be after it. I haven't had any complications thank God. I'm just taking it easy and not going too wild. I can't drive for a while so any time I've been out Brian's with us thank God because you can't do the bending with the car seat and the buggy for a while yet."

While Pippa was in great spirits, she admitted she is exhausted.

"I'm knackered obviously. Don't be fooled by the make-up and extra layer of concealer today."

But the businesswoman told her fans that while she is tired, she is loving every minute of baby bliss with her newborn.

"This time even more so than the last two times I just don't care now if I'm tired. It just feels different. I'm appreciating the moments so much more", she said.

"That's not to say I didn't with the boys but it's probably because I'm older and so appreciative that we've had him that I just don't care if I'm wrecked. I know now that each phase and stage passes quite quickly."
