Pink's daughter, 11, has actual job on her tour - but didn't negotiate a good salary

Pink is bringing both her kids on tour - and her daughter is actually going to be working for her.

The So What singer is kicking off her Trustfall world tour this June in the UK to mark the release of her ninth album, but she won't be on the road alone.

Daughter Willow, 11, and son Jameson, 6, who she shares with husband Carey Hart, are both coming along for the ride.

Pink has enlisted the help of Willow, who will be working a minimum-wage job while her mum is travelling around the world singing some of her greatest hits and material from the new album.

Speaking on the Today show on Tuesday, Pink admitted that her eldest child still had a thing or two to learn about negotiating her pay.

"Willow has a job on tour," Pink explained. "We just had to go over minimum wage and it's different state to state."

But Pink said Willow hasn't quite grasped the concept of negotiating salaries, as she actually asked for less money.

Pink continued: "I said it's about $22.50 a show depending how long I go, if I run over. She goes, 'I'll take $20. it’s easier to do the math.' I'm like 'That's not how you negotiate for yourself.' I'm like, 'You’ll take $25 so it's easier math.'"

When it was suggested that six-year-old Jameson should try backing his sibling, she jokingly added: "James is like, 'I just want a lollipop and some attention!'"

The first stop on Pink's worldwide tour is Bolton on June 7, before multiple dates in Sunderland, Birmingham and London.

She will be back in the States on July 26 for a show in Cincinnati, Ohio - with the epic tour going all the way through to March next year.

One of her new songs, Turbulence, speaks directly to the idea of mental health journeys, including her own daughter's.

She revealed that one of the song's lyrics, "If you’re alive, then it means that you’re committed to survive", makes her get very emotional and has resonated with a lot of people.

"Everybody gets it and that kind of makes me sad and happy all at the same time," she said.

"I hate telling people what a song is about because it's whatever it's about for you. But for me, it's just speaking to anxiety and walking my daughter through it and down that road," she said, referring to Willow.

"Even you say you can't, I will watch you dance through this turbulence."

Pink is married to former motocross racer Carey Hart, who she proposed to in 2005 before tying the knot in Costa Rica in 2006.

Pink's hubby has appeared in a number of her music videos, including So What, Just Give Me a Reason, True Love and Just Like Fire.

During an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe last week, Pink confessed that some people in the music industry encouraged her not to start a family at the start of her career.

"Everyone told me, 'If you have children right now, your career's over,'" she explained.

"When I had a child, I think it softened me to the world, the part that didn’t understand me, and I think that’s when my career began, really.

"I mean, I did a lot of stuff before that, but really, truly, I think it’s when I started to really understand myself and understand the world and my place in it."
