Piers Morgan startled by GMB blunder during intro and quip crew have 'lost their minds'

Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were left startled today just seconds into Good Morning Britain today over an awkward blunder.

As the show was introduced, a voiceover welcomed viewers to the show and its host - Lorraine Kelly.

"Oh! Lorraine Kelly?" Susanna responded in surprise.

Piers said with raised eyebrows: "Good Morning Britain with Lorraine Kelly - sorry to disappoint you all."

He added: "This is what happens when you get into this stage of lockdown, is that people start to lose their minds! I mean, look at Susanna and me-"

Piers was interrupted by a GMB voiceover then introducing Piers and Susanna, prompting him to say: "Too late!"

"I'm sorry, it's too late!" Susanna agreed.

Piers continued: "That would have been news to Lorraine, who is still asleep!"

"Oh my god, can you imagine? Right now she's in a panic," Susanna said.

Piers then began mocking Lorraine's accent, squeaking: "What the hell! They never told me, the big bambots!'

Susanna sighed: "Oh dear...."
