Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan has told Gary Neville that he would "drag" Ole Gunnar Solskjaer out of his office if he was overseeing a similar run of results at Arsenal.
Morgan contacted Neville on Twitter following United's dismal 4-1 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road this afternoon, which inflicted a fifth defeat on the Reds in their last seven Premier League outings.
Goals from Josh King, Ismaila Sarr, Joao Pedro and Emmanuel Dennis secured a fully-deserved victory for the Hornets, who were in danger of blowing their 2-0 lead when Donny van de Beek reduced the deficit just five minutes into the start of the second half, making it 2-1.
Despite Van de Beek offering United a ray of hope, Watford made the points safe once and for all, scoring twice in stoppage time, ensuring they capitalised on their numerical advantage following the sending-off of Harry Maguire.
The defeat has meant that manager Solskjaer is now, ultimately, at the end of the road and has reached a point of no return. United are in free fall at this moment in time and they are showing no signs of arresting this current slump.
The supporters are eager for Solskjaer to be sacked, with even those who were backing him up until recently now calling for the club's hierarchy to make a change.
Despite United's recent struggles, former Reds skipper Neville has continued to back the Norwegian, recently predicting that he will remain in charge until the end of the season at the very least.
With that in mind, Morgan decided to tweet Neville shortly after the full-time whistle, saying that if a mate of his was overseeing such disappointment at his beloved Arsenal he would "drag him out of the office."
Morgan tweeted: "Still don’t want Ole sacked @GNev2? If this was my mate doing this to Arsenal, I’d drag him out of the office."
Solskjaer has now guided United to just three wins in their last 11 games in all competitions, as well as just one win in their last seven Premier League outings.
Although Neville has not responded to Morgan's tweet, he has taken to Twitter himself after this afternoon's contest at Vicarage Road to react to the result, posting a three-word message.
"Shocker for United," he posted.
United now face stern-looking away trips to Villarreal and Chelsea, with both games set to offer huge challenges for Solskjaer and his players to overcome.
