Piers Morgan's wife Celia shames him on Instagram after he mangles cereal box

Controversial broadcaster Piers Morgan is under fire again - this time from his wife after he mangled a box of cereal.

Posting a picture of a ripped box of Cheerios on her Instagram account an exasperated Celia Walden asked her followers: "Why do men do this?"

The broadcaster and novelist is no stranger to poking fun at her husband of 10 years.

In another hilarious post Celia shared a snap of the two when they first met saying: "Seconds after we first met. I remember thinking: ‘Do I really want to have my picture taken with this guy?’ Happy anniversary Mr Morgan."

I n another post she wrote: “Once every century the perfect couple comes along and redefines the way other couples view love. We are totally not that couple. Happy 10th anniversary, Piers.”

Piers replied: “10yrs ago today… I made an honest woman of Celia. And her lawyers hoped it would never last! Happy Anniversary to my considerably better half.”

Celia has had an impressive career as an English broadcaster, journalist, and novelist.

The 45-year-old was born in Paris but grew up in London where she attended Westminster school and then Cambridge University.

Celia met Piers, 56, while he was still married to his ex-wife Marion Shalloe.

In an interview with Amanda Holden on Heart FM Piers revealed how they met.

He said: “I was doing a speech in front of 1000 people – magazine editors – in some fancy hotel in Mayfair and I absolutely died on my backside to the extent that they were openly jeering me, and the only person that was laughing was Celia, who I’d never met, and I went 'who’s that?'

"She said 'that just bombed' and I said, 'I thought that was hilarious' but she was laughing really at my discomfort. So I realised then that she would be perfect bride material!"

The pair married in 2010 in Swinbrook, Oxfordshire in a private ceremony on June 24.

A year later they welcomed their first child together, Elise Pughe-Morgan.

According to Celia, their daughter, Elise has Pier’s wrapped around her little finger.

Talking to Good Morning Britain in 2018, when asked if she wore the trousers in the relationship Celia replied “Uhh yes, I think so!”

Adding “I think women are always quietly in charge, I just think it’s best to let the men think that they are”.

Since controversially quitting Good Morning Britain after that Megan Markle debacle Piers has announced he's got a new job.

The host's new show is part of a global deal and will air on talkTV in the UK, USA and Australia.

After appearing at The Sun's Who Cares Wins Awards on Tuesday, Piers teased an exciting new project, and said he was on the lookout for a replacement for his former GMB co-host Susanna Reid.

"Have patience, it won't be long. It's a lot bigger than GMB,” he told The Sun. "It's not fighting talk, it's just a lot bigger. You'll see soon.

"You never know, I might be auditioning for new wives…"
