Piers Morgan pulled off set after suffering technical fault during GMB interview

Piers Morgan was pulled of the Good Morning Britain set today after suffering a technical fault.

The 54-year-old host was interviewing Celebrity X Factor finalist Jenny Ryan with co-star Susanna Reid when his microphone stopped working.

Mid-chat, Piers announced the news about his mic and began shouting his questions.

"I can hear you just fine, Piers," Jenny said.

However Piers was later pulled off stage so that they could fix his microphone as Susanna tried to continue the interview.

As Susanna explained why Piers stood up as a crew member wandered over, Jenny insisted that it was "fine".

"It's actually an emergency," Piers said as one of the crew fixed his microphone.

As the camera refocused on Piers, rather than Jenny, a frustrated Susanna said: "But it is rather pulling focus, unfortunately, from our guest, Jenny."

Susanna asked Jenny another question, but Piers interrupted as he sat down, announcing: "I'm back! Am I back?

Exasperated, Susanna shushed him so that Jenny could reply to her question.

Jenny will be performing for the last time on The X Factor: Celebrity on Saturday in a bid to win a record contract.

The Chase star, also known as The Vixen, is up against V4, Max and Harvey and Megan McKenna.
